Formally known as the "Blobshop", which was very successful in it's first year of business , the website has been totally rebuilt and transformed into www.flies24-7.com and is owned and run by John Pass who is a Head Bailiff on the Derbyshire Derwent where he is responsible for the management of 2.5 miles of river.
Although he fishes for mainly Brown Trout on rivers, he loves fishing for Rainbows on stocked stillwaters and has a passion for Salmon and Seatrout fishing in Scotland, and is a regular contributor to various angling magazines, including, Trout and Salmon, Trout Fisherman, Flyfishing Flytying, and Total Flyfisher.
With over 50 years experience behind him from his early days in Coarse fishing to his current love of fly fishing, his fishing has developed over the years.
From holding the British record for Crucian Carp in the seventies to currently holding the Record for the largest Salmon ever caught on the Isle of Skye, a superb specimen weighing 34.6lbs in October 2009.
John, thought it now time to reveal some of the fly patterns that have lead to his success in fishing for Trout and Salmon and make them available at an affordable price to anglers everywhere.
